THERE’S A NEW LEFT IN TOWN!!

Last night it happened. We are no longer dozens or even hundreds. Thousands of Israelis and Palestinians came together in Sheikh Jarrah last night to say in a clear voice, there is another way: instead of violence and confrontation – peace and reconciliation; in place of dispossession and discrimination – coexistence and justice.

There’s a new left in town. Palestinians and Israelis, Arabs and Jews refuse to be enemies. Nir Barkat will hear the beat of our drums in the Jerusalem municipality.

But this is not only about Sheikh Jarrah, our even about the struggle against the Jewish settlement of East Jerusalem.

Yesterday we were only a handful, tomorrow Bibi Netanyahu will see tens of thousands marching and calling for the end of the occupation and for a real peace based on justice and freedom for all Israelis and Palestinians.

There’s a new left in town and we will not be stopped.
